HOW TO SHOP YOUR HOME
START EARLY
Start as early as you can! Naturally when we're looking for something, we have the tendency of making a mess in process. So if you have to clean up all the items you have taken out or move things back to its original place, it will take a long time (and maybe longer if you live in a house).
SCHEDULE PLANNER
DO NOT make the mistake of wanting to search through every room in one day. With other occupations such as:
Going to work
Grocery shopping
Laundry
Picking up your kids from school (if you have children)
Cooking and more.
Write out a plan that will stretch out the ‘To do list’ throughout a realistic lapse amount of time.
GET A HELPING HAND
Doing things on your own is good but going around your home with someone to help you is even better! It's always better to have someone else to help you out, it may just help the search go faster.
WEAR GLOVES
The main thing that you will be doing is touching everything. Everything equals dusty and dirty hands, therefore it is highly recommended to wear gloves, to keep your hands clean.
TAKE PHOTOS
Sometimes we register so much information at the present time that afterwards, we can't quite remember what we found. Taking photos of each item will help you catalogue better all that was found.
TEMPORAL STORAGE SPACE
Create a space within your home where you can store all the items that you've found and want to keep. This way you’re sure to not accidentally throw things away or look for the items again.
