THE ESSENTIAL OF THE LIST, IS THE NEW NECESSITY TREND
It’s not just a wedding planner thing but it’s also an ‘almost’ everyday-to-day thing, especially if you have a very active life; THE LIST, as I call it is a tool that is very USEFUL and essentially NECESSARY.
Today there are great ways in which you can keep yourself organised:
Write a list on paper
Set up alerts on your phone calendar
A on the wall calendar
Buy an organiser
Download an App on your devices
Magnetic board
Ask someone to kind you remind you
Hire a professional
Needless to say today you have no excuses because there are loads of things that you can use to really help you get organised.
For instant, taking a upcoming corporate event as an example, the first thing you need to do is take a (possibly long) moment and write down everything! And when I say everything, I indeed mean everything. From ideas of a theme, music, possible venues, guest list to the actual day plan itself.
The List starts off as a rough brainstorm on paper to later evolve into a detailed checklist. So I hope that you have enough paper because usually first drafts are like brainstorm of every idea that comes to mind at that moment, therefore making no sense at all. Yet thereafter, as time goes by and that the upcoming event draws closer, you will be thankful that you made ‘The List’ so don’t wait and write that list.
And the same thing goes for, if you were planning on going décor shopping. Take a moment to write down what you need, which shops you are planning to go to and the time frame in which you are giving yourself to do all that. Again, you will thank yourself for having a list, which reminded you of why you are there and what you are getting , instead of suddenly browsing the shops.
The lesson to be learnt here is that a list equals better Planning. Better Planning equals Organisation. Organisation means been Prepared for what comes next. And what comes next, only you can determine...
